Robert Allen Gainey

Sumter, SC…. Robert Allen Gainey, age 43, died on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Prisma Health Toumey.

Born in Manning, SC, he was the son of Jerry Anthony Gainey and the late Margaret Osborne Muzzy.  Robert worked all his adult life in the roofing industry. He was also very passionate about music and could often be found listening to his favorite songs for hours. Surpassing his love for work and music was the time he got to spend with his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a very loving Son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by; a father, Jerry Gainey and wife Carol of Sumter, SC; a grandmother, Betty Gainey of Sumter, SC; two sisters, Shanna Butler and husband Christopher of Sumter, SC, Samantha Morgan of Reynoldsburg, OH; two nieces, Dayanna Morgan, Khyleigh Ann Butler; two nephews, Robert Morgan, Christpher Butler, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.  The interment will follow the service in the Sumter Cemetery.
