Dalzell, SC ………… Betty Jean Batten Stogsdill, age 73, beloved wife of the late Daniel D. Stogsdill, died on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roland O. Dietz and Florence Riley. She was a very intelligent and wise woman. Her legacy is that she taught her two daughters to be strong and independent women but also to know when to show compassion. She enjoyed watching General Hospital and in her spare time she enjoyed doing puzzles of all kinds.
She is survived by her two daughters, Katrina Mayer and her husband Robert of Elgin and Christina Lowder and her husband Todd of Sumter; two granddaughters, Danielle and Kelsey Lowder; one sister, Elsie Jaeger of Idaho, her children, Robert, Christina and Thomas and their children; nephews, Steven Tucker, Tony Tucker and their children; nephew, John Paremsky of Idaho, and sons, Connell and Logan Paremsky.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Paremsky and Florence Tucker and one brother Charles Dietz.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Pressley officiating.
