Elizabeth "Libby" (Steele) Bolton

Sumter, SC …… Elizabeth “Libby” S. Bolton, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home in Sumter, SC.

She was born, January 8,1947 in Front Royal, VA to the late John Steele and Evelyn Laing. Libby worked majority of her life and retired from the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, VA. After retirement, Libby worked in real estate and volunteered at the local hospitals. She relocated to Sumter in 2006. She was a member of the Dalzell United Methodist Church and worked for St. John United Methodist Church.  

Libby is survived by her son, James Bolton,II and his wife April of Sumter; grandson, Trey Bolton of Sumter; sister, Jolissa Mathews and her husband Gene of Front Royal, VA; brother, Sonny Steele and his wife Barbara of Ripley, Ohio; niece, Jodi Deck and her husband Bill of Front Royal, VA nephew, Johnny Steele and his wife Kim of Ohio.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00am at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Huggins officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of Libby Bolton and following the service.
