John Allen Doran

Sumter, SC ….. John Allen Doran, age 89, beloved husband of the late Beulah Guy Doran died on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his residence.

Born in Indian Springs, TN, he was the son of the late Richard O. Doran and Anna Strickler Doran.  John honorable served in the military for over 30 years and retired from the USAF as a TSGT and Jet Tech. He went on to work for Color – Fi, where he also retired. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family. John will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, papaw and friend.

Surviving are: one son, James Allen Doran; two daughters, Judy McLeod and Phyllis Shirah and her husband Bobby all of Sumter; one brother, Peter Doran and his wife Mudge of Blountville, TN and four grandchildren, Michael, Ashlyn, Hailee and Destinee.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a son-in-law, Mike McLeod.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Sumter Cemetery.
