Margaret Logan Blackwell

Sumter, SC ……. .. Margaret Ann L. Blackwell, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

 She leaves her beloved and kind husband, Grover M. Blackwell of the home and three children, Kathy Lynn Weaver of Pamplico, Charles J. Richburg of Myrtle Beach, and William “Gregg” Poston and his fiancée Leigh Ann Yoxtheimer of Myrtle Beach; three granddaughters Brandon Weaver Hicks  and her husband Lee of Florence,  Jena Weaver Nickles and her husband Walker and Ericka Weaver Holland and her husband Trent of Mt. Pleasant; three great grandchildren, Grady Hicks of Florence, Hazel Grey Nickles and Miller Nickles both of Mt. Pleasant ; one soon to be arriving baby, Olivia Holland; two step children, Grover M. Blackwell, Jr. and his wife Julie of Stuart, Florida and Tracy Blackwell Roberts of Charlotte, NC; eight step grandchildren; one sister, Betty Bishop of Buchanan, GA ; one brother, Ashton Logan of Lake Charles, LA and two dear, dear friends for over 35 years, Ruth Washington Jackson and Frank Jenkins of Sumter.

Margaret was born in Sumter, the daughter of the late Margaret Olivia Jones.  She attended schools in Sumter and graduated from Clevenger Business College. Margaret was a charter member of the Wise Drive Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother, wife and dear friend to those she knew and loved.

Services will be private.
