Mike Glenn McLeod Jr.

Sumter, SC …. Mike Glenn McLeod, Jr. age 27, died on Monday, August 12, 2019 at his residence.

Born in Sumter, he was the son of Mike Glenn McLeod, Sr and Betty Evans McLeod. Glenn loved his girlfriend Chelsey and their son to be with all his heart. He was an avid motorcyclist and fisherman. He enjoyed playing music and making people laugh. Glenn was a hard worker. He called everyone “Tula”. He had a special love for his dog Gatlin and would cover her with a special “Tennessee” blanket every morning before he left for work. He referred to her as his special “Loofa Bread”. He loved the Lord. Glenn will be remembered as a loving son, father, brother, boyfriend, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.   

Surviving in addition to his parents Mike and Betty are: one son, Matthew Glenn Colton McLeod; his girlfriend, Chelsey Johnson; stepmother, Robyn Kepley McLeod; sister, Jennifer Elise McLeod Ray and her husband Evan; uncles, Stanley McLeod, Bobby Ray McLeod, Charles D. “ Skipper” McLeod and Wayne Evans; aunts, Dianne Evans, Brenda Knotts, Betty McLeod Brown, Barbara McLeod, Alice Pritchard and Virginia Campbell; nieces, Christal Johnston and Christina Johnston; nephew, Christopher Johnston and special cousins, Crystal Angelino and her husband Abel, Justin Evans, Stanley ”Bubba” McLeod, Jr., Kevin Evans and Tommy Hyatt.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Julius D. “Big Boy” Evans and Elise G. Evans and Bessie McLeod and Charles D. McLeod.  

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
