Obituary

Mayesville, SC…Annette Corbett Tiller, age 90, beloved wife of the late Robert James Tiller, Sr., died on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at her residence.

Born in Mayesville, she was the youngest daughter of the late Hamilton Corbett and Sadie Mayes Corbett. Mrs. Tiller graduate from Coker College with a bachelor's degree in Business. She was a farmer and teacher.  Mrs. Tiller was a farmer’s daughter who never left the farm. Whether hog, corn, or cotton, she took part in it all. She was a member of the National Cotton Advisory Committee and was active with both the Mayesville Area Coalition and with the Mayesville Education Industrial Institute, where she served as treasurer.  Mrs. Tiller enjoyed eating out with Mrs. Hanish and the special ladies. Mrs. Tiller was an active member of the Mayesville Presbyterian Church, where served she as the church treasurer and was a member of the Morning Glories and she also attend Faith Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach.

Surviving are: two daughters, Annette Hamilton Tiller Haynes of Myrtle Beach and Mary Lynda Tiller Dutcher and her husband George of Mayesville and two granddaughters, Lucie Haynes Freese and her husband Brady of Charlotte and Hollie Haynes of Myrtle Beach; four great grandson, Tate of Charlotte, NC, Michael Brandon, Colin and Chandler of Myrtle Beach, and long life best friends, Ruth and Monique Moses and their families and Louise and Wesley Eaddy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was a preceded in death by her son Robert James Tiller, Jr, and two sisters, Lynda Corbett Dabbs, and Sarah Corbett Tyndall.

Services will be private.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to her nieces, Dianne Drakeford, Deb Shaw, and Hamilton Stoddard. Their loving support meant so much. Much thanks to Chery and Adalyn for their long friendship that will be remembered. The family wishes to also extend a very special thank you to Amedisys Hospice, especially to the nurse aide’s Jeanie and Cynthia, Jonell, Betty, Deborah, Susie, and Carolina Caregivers for the excellent care shown to Mrs. Tiller.
