Betty Pearl (Good) Simmons

Sumter, SC .... Betty Pearl Good Simmons, age 100, beloved wife of the late Buford "Boots" Wilson Simmons, died on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born in Urbana, IL, she was the daughter of the late William Edward Good and Lena Mae Good.  Betty was a faithful member of Cross Bridge Christian Church.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

Surviving to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Becky Simmons and her husband Russell Ratcliff of Sumter; two grandsons, Robert Haddock and Derrick Haddock and his wife Crystal, all of Catawba, NC; one step-granddaughter Jennifer Johnson of San Antonio, TX; four great grandchildren, Robert Haddock, Jr. and his fiancé Zoe’ Hill, Kiersten Haddock, Brynne Haddock, and Sydnee Haddock; and one great great grandson, Grayson Haddock.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, William Jeffrey Simmons.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at 3:00pm in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, on Saturday, March 18th, 2023, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
