Alcolu, SC… Brunhilde Colclough, known by everyone simply as Hilde, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020, at McLeod Health Clarendon Hospital.
She was born on November 6, 1940, in Mannheim, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Edmund and Irmgard Januchowski, and the wife of the late Robert Lee Colclough. Hilde and her husband made a home in Alcolu, SC, his hometown, after his retirement from the Air Force. She worked for many years as a restaurant manager and produce company manager. Her family and friends will remember her as a very kind, loving and giving woman, who lived and breathed for her family.
Hilde is survived by: her son, David Colclough and his wife Melanie, their five children, Mackenzie, Madison, Richard, Sean, and Luke, all of Sumter, her nieces Betty (Tim) Blackwell of Alcolu and Sabrina Schneider of Germany, her nephews, Teddy (Yvette) Theus of New York, Harry Oliver of Kansas, Robert Lee Theus of Atlanta, and Thorsten Januchowski of Germany, her sister in law, Mary Theus, of Alcolu, and a host of family and friends all over the globe.
Hilde is predeceased by her husband “Bob,” her son, Ralph, her daughter Christina, her grandson, Gabriel Michael and her niece Robin.
A private service will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at Bethesda Church of God. The family thanks everyone for the calls of love and support, and the continued prayers.
