Caesar Eugene Cockerill

Sumter, SC ….. Caesar Eugene Cockerill, age 66, died on Friday, March 13, 2020 at his residence.

Born in Sumter, he was the son of the late Joe Cockerill and Mae Mixon Cockerill. Mr. Cockerill was a former truck driver and welder. He loved hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR but most of all his he loved his family.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Surviving are: one son , Eddie Cockerill and his wife Kristy; three daughters, Angela Cox, Crystal Gainey and Casey Cockerill all of Sumter; five brothers, John Cockerill, Silas Cockerill, Newton Cockerill, Leroy Cockerill and Mikey Cockerill; four sisters, Barbara Baker, Rosemary Nesbitt, Ruth Ann Dixon and Libby Hutto; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Cockerill and two brothers, Thomas Cockerill and Eddie Cockerill.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 4:00pm in the Bullock Fuenral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Bowman officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 15, 2020 one hour prior to the service from 3:00 - 4:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
