Sumter, SC…Carol Patricia Pinkert Nolan, age 81, beloved wife of 59 years to the late Lawrence James Nolan, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born in DePere, WI, she was a daughter of the late Emil Pinkert and Verona Aurora Baaten Pinkert. Carol enjoyed sewing and gardening and was a woman of strong faith and who loved attending her local bible study. She was known as a very sweet and loving woman, but was also very strong and direct in her beliefs. She was a devoted wife of 59 years to her husband, Lawrence, before his passing in 2017. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Carol is survived by; two sons, Martin Ross Nolan and his fiancée Julia Lee Taubert of Sumter and Matthew Thomas Nolan and his wife Tiffany of Jay, FL; a brother, Patrick Pinkert and his wife Elizabeth of Oklahoma and eight grandchildren, Cassandra Pardillo and her husband Jovan, Meghan Hanson and her husband Tyler, Ethan Nolan, Katherine Nolan, Kara Nolan, Trevor Nolan, Kylan Layton and Kynleigh Solomon.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, John Pinkert and a sister, Gloria Coffey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.
