Sumter, SC …. Charlotte Ann Clodfelter Collins, age 62, died on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at St. Francis Eastside Hospital in Greenvile, SC.
Born in Alexandria, LA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ralph Clodfelter and Willie Mae Doyal Clodfelter. Charlotte was the former owner of Charlotte’s Café and was the manager of Carolina King Retreat and Marina, where she worked for over 10 years. Charlotte was known for her big and generous heart. She was a kind soul and loved serving others. Her true joy in life came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Charlotte is survived by; one son, Jerry Herbert Blackmon and his wife Bobbie Jo of Marston, NC; two daughters, Christy Martinez-Arellano and her husband Noe of Mesquite, TX and Kerriann Julia Blackmon of Greer, SC; one brother, Kim Clodfelter and his wife Jackie of Dalzell; eight grandchildren, Kenzie Blackmon, Jerry Blackmon, Lela Blackmon, Kelsey McCoy, Shane McCoy, Jr., Donald Lovelace, Jr., Caden Lovelace and Blazen Lovelace, and one great grandchild, Madelyn Johnson.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Tommy McDonald Officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
