Dalzell, SC …….. Cheryl Ann Vickers Gaulding, age 64, beloved wife of 40 years to Charles Keith Gaulding, died on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at her residence.
Born in Ft. Benning, GA, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Vickers and Barbara Clinard Vickers. Cheryl worked for AAFES at various bases during her life, retiring at the Shaw AFB Base Exchange after more than 24 years of service. Cheryl loved her family, but her true joy in life came from spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her husband are; three daughters, Melissa Adams and her husband Mark of Lexington, Kimberly Gaulding of Dalzell and Khaelie Gaulding of Spanish Fort, AL; one brother, Robert Vickers and his wife Mary of IN; two sisters, Kathe Kilpatrick and her partner Wayne of AL and Patricia Thomas and her husband Billy of TN; five grandchildren, Trent Adams, Anakin Adams, Emery Gaulding, Loralye Adams and Emmalyn Gaulding.
She is preceded in death by a son, Andrew Gaulding and a brother Jimmy Vickers.
A private family service will be held in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery.
