Cindy Lou (Brubaker) Lloyd

 Silver, SC…Cindy Lou Brubaker Lloyd, age 64, beloved wife of 45 years to Michael Kevin Lloyd, died on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. 

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Grant Brubaker and Martha Mae McCaulley Shearer. 

She was a member of the Tyrone High School class of 1976. She spent most of her adult life as a military spouse and retired from AVX Corporation in Myrtle Beach. Cindy enjoyed her Shelties Harley and Star, NASCAR, various Harley Davidson rallies and events, and cruising the beach or country roads in her ‘Orange Madness’ Polaris Slingshot. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Jason Lloyd of Silver, SC; two sisters, Tammie Welch of Tyrone, PA and Angela Peters of Saxton, PA, brother-in-law Donald Lloyd and Melody of Myrtle Beach, cousins Ruth Hunt of Altoona, PA and Richard Ferrier of Youngstown, Ohio, nieces and nephews Johnny Benton and Collin Musser of Tyrone, PA,  Austin Peters and Natasha Peters of Saxton, PA, Victoria Peters and Dustin Peters of Altoona, PA, her mother-in-law Donna Lloyd of Altoona, PA, and many other relatives. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew Brian G. Dean, father-in-law John Lloyd, and loving stepmother Marion Brubaker. 

Services will be held at a later date. 

Memorials may be made to the Semper Fi & America's Fund - dedicated to providing urgently needed resources and support for combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
