Sumter, SC …….. Curtis “Lamar” Reynolds, age 73, beloved husband of 48 years to Delores Felkel Reynolds, departed this life on earth to a peaceful, everlasting home on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee. He was the son of the late Dixon Reynolds and Lois Huggins Reynolds.
In addition to his wife, Delores, Lamar is survived by; two daughters, Dawn Reynolds Campion and her husband Derrick of Davidson, NC and Candice Reynolds Cole and her husband Kyle of Concord, NC, and three grandchildren, Aiden Campion, Dawson Cole and Jaxson Cole.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Bud Reynolds and Larry Reynolds and one sister, Diane Jordan.
Lamar proudly served 2 ½ years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He owned and operated Quality Cars of Sumter for 15 years. Upon retirement, he still wanted to work, so he partnered with Burch Richardson in home improvements. He always enjoyed being around people.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
