Rembert, SC …. Dargan Burrows, age 88, beloved husband of 57 years to the late Edith Faye Browder Burrows, died on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born in Williamsburg County, He was the son of the late Robert A. Burrows and Marie Baylor Burrows. He retired as owner and operator of The Burrows Service Center. He was a member of Dalzell Baptist Church.
Surviving are his five children: Arnold Dargan Burrows and his wife, Robyn, and Arthur Dwayne Burrows and his wife, Sandra. Beverly Faye Burrows Rogers and her husband, Allen, Cynthia Elizabeth Burrows, and Christina Burrows Kelly and her husband, Patrick, all of Sumter; a sister, Argie Hudson, of Florence; eleven grandchildren, Paul Burrows (Renee), Arnie Burrows, David Burrows, Lisa Kennedy, Joanne Witherspoon (Jeff), Tracie Jones, Matt Burrows, Luke Burrows (Lindsey), Sylvia Burrows, Dargen Kelly, Edith Anne Kelly; twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by siblings, Molly Williams, Jack Burrows, Gipson Burrows, Iva Lee Whitcomb, Frank Burrows, Virgil Burrows, and Vernell James.
A funeral service will be held at on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Barnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
