David Robert Gallahar

Sumter, SC …. David Robert Gallahar, age 67, beloved husband of Jennifer Gallahar, died on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.

David Robert Gallahar was born on March 20, 1955 in Spokane, Washington.  Having been born into a military family, David lived in many U.S. states as well as abroad.  He demonstrated his adventurous spirit by working as a long-haul truck driver for over 35 years.  David had a wry sense of humor with a sprinkle of mischief.  He said more than once that he wants to be remembered as a "fat jolly old man." David was a bit nostalgic and enjoyed watching classic television shows.  His favorite thing, though, was talking with his family.  David cared deeply for his wife Jennifer as well as his children and grandchildren.  He will be missed dearly.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, David Robert Gallahar, Jr. of PA; two daughters, Allison Rose Gause and her husband Andrew, and Theresa Bonass and her husband William, all of PA; one brother, Gerald Gallahar and his wife Sharon of Irmo, SC; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Lareau, Preston Lareau, and Aislynn Gallahar.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
