David Robert Stokes

Sumter, SC…David Robert Stokes, age 61, died on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in Sumter, he was the son of the late Robert Julian Stokes and Sally Bell Nunnery.

David was an active member of his church, Living Waters Ministry of Sumter. He loved the Lord, his family, and his church family. He enjoyed fishing and anything outdoors. He especially enjoyed riding and designing unique bicycles, which you could see him riding around town.

Surviving are: two daughters, Megan Rembert and her husband Brian of Dalzell and Stephanie Eitzman and her husband Adam of Pinewood, SC; one sister, Nancy Oxendine Morris of Sumter; six grandchildren, Royce and Camden Rembert, Ryann and Tessa Stokes, and Presley and Everett Weatherford.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Wells Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
