Denny Craig Stevens

Sumter, SC…Denny Craig Stevens, age 49, beloved husband of Brandy Buttermore Stevens passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland.

Born in Camden, SC, he was a son of Barbara Teal Stevens and the late Willie James Stevens.  Denny was a faithful and active member of Bethesda Church of God.  He was an avid Gamecock Fan and he loved riding his golf cart and feeding the ducks.  Denny had a warm and loving personality and enjoyed making people laugh.  His true joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He will be remembered as a very loving husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his wife and mother, Denny is survived by; one son. Dennis Stevens of Cassatt; two daughters, Amber Stevens of Rembert and Elizabeth Touchberry of Sumter; two brothers, Derek Stevens and his wife Angie of Cassatt and Matt Stevens and his wife Barbara of Cassatt; two grandchildren, Henley Stevens and Tate Spradley; maternal grandmother, Nancy Windham of Bishopville and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Willie and Geneva Stevens and maternal grandfather, William Rufus Teal.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 am at Bethesda Church of God with the Rev. H. Albert Sims officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2020, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

A private interment will be held at the Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery.
