Donald Eugene Lovelace

Sumter, SC …. Donald Eugene Lovelace, age 66, beloved husband of the late Angela Louise Freeman Lovelace, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Laurinburg, NC, he was the son of the late John Eugene Lovelace and Eva Nell Hyatt Lovelace.  Donald was an avid Nascar fan and loved watching football, especially Carolina.  One of his favorite places to be was Elliott’s Landing at the lake where he enjoyed fishing.  His true joy in life came from spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by; three sons, Donald Eugene Lovelace II, Alan Lovelace (Blakely) and Brandon Lovelace, all of Sumter; a daughter, Darlene Lovelace Willingham (Dendy) of Chapin; two brothers, Doug Lovelace (Janie) of Timmonsville and Wayne Lovelace (Tammie) of Darlington; three sisters, Diane Felder (Willard), Mary Hice (Danny) and Martha Kelly (Michael), all of Sumter; four grandchildren, Haley Willingham, Kameron Willingham, Hope Willingham and Brittlynn Willingham, and two great grandchildren, Lilliana Willingham and Iris Willingham.

In addition to his wife and parents, Donald is preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Driggers.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, August 7, 2022, at the home of his son, Alan Lovelace.
