Edna Glynn Watkins Hollinghead, age 82, passed away peacefully in her home on August 24, 2021. She was born August 14, 1939 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Edward David Watkins and the late Euna Glenn Bell. She was the beloved wife of the late Orell Hollinghead, who preceded her in death in 2016.
Edna was a devoted Wife, Daughter, Sister, Mother, Mema and Friend. She enjoyed traveling and listening to Conway Twitty. She watched her game shows and her "story" (Young & Restless) every day. She was an expert at crafting buttermilk biscuits and dumplings when she wasn't busy dancing to her favorite tunes. She was known as the “social butterfly” in her apartment building. She enjoyed hanging out with her neighbors every Friday for games or craft nights. She was kind and reflective, a woman of conviction who was steadfast and dependable. She instilled these same qualities in her children who love her so very much. Most of all she loved God and her family. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
