Elizabeth "Libby" (Lovelace) Brown

Sumter, SC …….. Elizabeth L. Brown “Libby”, age 82, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 29, 2021 at her residence.

Libby was born in Lee County, SC March 6, 1939, a daughter of the late Oliver S. and Cora B. Lovelace.

She is survived by: her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hunt of Aiken; a grandson, Michael L. Posey (Marissa) of Gaston; two great grandchildren, Hunter K. Posey and Evan A. Posey of Gaston; two sisters, Rachel McKenzie of Timmonsville and Ida Payne (John) of Sumter; a brother, Bill Lovelace (Fran) of Fayetteville, NC; many nieces and nephews; a special friend and caregiver, Bob Harris and many Bingo Friends, which was the passion of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, A.J. Haley; her brothers, Weldon Lovelace and Gene Lovelace and her sister, Betty Radcliff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tuomey Hospice, 500 Pinewood Road, Sumter, SC 29154 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale, Memphis, TN  38105-2479.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 2:00-3:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
