Elizabeth Francis (Braman) Duffy

Sumter, SC… Elizabeth Francis Braman Duffy, age 91, beloved wife of 40 year to the late Richard L. Duffy, died on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey.

She was born February 13, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA.  Elizabeth was a devout Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of the Skies Catholic Church on Shaw AFB.  She was a loving and devoted wife for 40 years to Richard before his death in 1992.  Her true joy in life came from spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.  She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by: four daughters, Deborah White of Sumter, Dodie Duffy and her husband Robert of Cincinatti, OH, Linda Gozdur and her husband Robert of Sumter and Carol Bayless and her husband Martin of Dalzell; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by; a daughter, Patricia Butler; two brothers, John Finnerty and Joe Braman and one sister, Catherine Brown.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow the service at 2:00 pm in the Florence National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 11:00-12:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
