Emory Lewis Obituary

Sumter, SC ….. Emory Douglas Lewis, age 76, beloved husband of the late Kay Frances Lewis, died on Sunday, August 29, 2021.

Born in Rush Township, he was the son of the late Raymond Lewis and Doris Gilliam Lewis.

Mr. Lewis retired from the US Air Force after 26 years of service. He went on to work and retired from the US Postal Service after 17 years. He was married to the love of his life, Kay for 54 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved to shoot trap and travel.  He was a member of the Shaw AFB Rod and Gun club. He will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and grandfather.

Surviving are: two daughters, Tonia Craig and her husband Danny of Sumter and Wendy Livingston and her partner, Danny Batchelor of Wasilla, AK; two brothers, Dale Lewis and his wife Sandy of White Lake, WI and Darrell Lewis and his wife Florence of Argonne, WI; brother-in-law, James and Judy Eschenbauch of White Lake, WI; sister-in-law, Nancy Lewis of Antigo, WI; five granddaughters, Devyn, Jordyn, Spencyr, Kylie and Rylie and seven great grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife Kay and his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Lewis and Dallas Lewis and one granddaughter, Skylar Rae.

Services will be held at a later date.
