Halvert "H.C." Lawson Obituary
Almighty God in His divine wisdom called Halvert C. "H.C." Lawson, beloved husband of Phyllis Bell Lawson, home on Sunday evening, January 23, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on April 21, 1933 in the St. Paul area of Clarendon County, the eldest son of the late Reverend Henry and Mary (Fludd) Lawson.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date.
The family is not receiving visitors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brailsford-Lawson Scholarship Fund of Historic Liberty Hill A.M.E. Church, Black Alumni Association Scholarship Fund of St. John’s University, or Mandonia Porter Owens Scholarship of Hampton University Choir Directors Guild.
