Jeanette June (Meroney) Cagle

Sumter, SC…Jeanette June Meroney Cagle, 82, widow of the late Albert Lincoln Cagle Jr., died on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Blue Ridge Healthcare of Sumter.

Born in Cave Springs, GA, she was a daughter of the late Dennis Roscoe Meroney and Maude Clark Meroney.  Jeanette spent most of her life living on a farm in AL and moved to Sumter after the death of her husband.  She was a strong woman of faith and was a member of Shaw Heights Baptist Church.  She loved to cook and also enjoyed both sewing and crocheting.  Her true joy in life was spending time with her family.  She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Jeanette is survived by; three sons, Garry Cagle and his wife Terri of Huntsville, AL, Albert Cagle and his wife Peggy of Sumter, SC and Harold Cagle of Moulton, AL; three daughters, Pam Freeman and her husband Robert of Southside, AL, Janice Clark and her husband Danny of East Gadsden, AL and Debbie Green and her husband Darryl of Moulton, AL; one sister, Jaunita “Jo” Frady of Anniston, AL; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by; two sons, Darryl Cagle and Ricky Cagle; one grandson, Baby Boy Foroutan; one great grandchild Kie and eleven brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held at a later date in Southside, AL and she will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Williams Southside Memorial Park Cemetery.
