John Logan Obituary

Sumter, SC… John Randolph “Randy” Logan, age 71, beloved husband of 53 years to Patricia Prince Logan, died on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late Johnny James Logan and Lois Vivian Jones Logan.  Randy enjoyed fishing in Santee and boating in Beaufort  with the family.  He especially loved timing the tide change so that they would have a private sand bar to themselves.  He loved riding his gold wing motorcycle and watching Westerns on the television.  Much of his free time was spent taking walks and reflecting on life.  He attended Alice Drive Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Pat, are two daughters, Sandra Logan Cooper and her husband Travis of Edmond, OK, and Patricia Logan Proctor and her husband Lance of Sumter; five grandchildren, one great grandchild and his loving canine companion Tinker Bell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, James Aubrey Logan.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
