Mamie C Lawson

Ft. Payne, AL…Mamie Claire Lackey Lawson, age 86, died on Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Born in North Charleston, SC; she was the daughter of the late Marshall Louis Lackey and Maybell Infinger Lackey. Mrs. Lawson was a license practical nurse and had worked for many years in the healthcare field. She was a member of Sumter Baptist Temple.

Surviving are: husband, Fred E. Lawson, Sr. of Ft. Payne, AL; two sons, Tim Lawson of Ft. Payne, AL and Steve Lawson of Trion, GA; three brothers, Raymond Lackey of Jacksonville, FL, Donnie Lackey of Macedonia, SC, and Wayne Lackey of Springfield, SC; two sisters, Margaret Linder of Jacksonville, FL and Nell Still of Conyers, GA; along with eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Lawson; two sons, Dwayne Lawson of Rainsville, AL and Bobby Lawson of Bloomville, GA; and one daughter, Shirley Hackett of St. Marys, GA

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Clarendon Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Bloomville Road, Manning, SC.
