Melisa Faye (Avins) Moural

Sumter, SC…Melisa Faye Avins Moural, age 42, died on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at MUSC.

Born in Manning, SC, she was a daughter of the late Paul Avins Jr. and Margaret Avins.  Melisa was know to have a kind and generous heart and was always doing for others.  She enjoyed playing bingo, but her true joy in life came from spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. 

She is survived by; three sons, Ramon Tristan of Sumter, Raymond Tristan and his wife Alisa of Manning and Devin Villeda and his partner Britany; one daughter, Rocio Tristan of Sumter; one brother, Gary “Bubba” Simpson and his wife Wanda of Sumter; three sisters, Kathy Boswell and her husband Chip of Wedgefield, Earlean Koone and her husband Karl of Wedgefield and Pauline Rogers of Sumter; a life partner, Ramon Tristan and three grandchildren, Rowen Tristan, Chloe Grace Busques and Adalynn Renee Villeda.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Allen Avins and a sister, Dorothy Huggins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service, on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Pauline Rogers and her son, Raymond Tristan.
