Nancy Lee Osborne Carraway

Sumter, SC................ Nancy Lee Osborne Carraway, age 86, widow of the late McKeiver Derald Carraway, died on Monday, September 25th, 2023, at NHC Healthcare of Sumter. 

Born in Turbeville, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Osborne and Clarica Jane Dennis Osborne. Ms. Carraway retired from Kimbrell’s Furniture Store. She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her children, Ronnie Carraway of Summerton, SC,  Dale Carraway of Pinewood, SC,  Butch Carraway (Cheryl) of Dalzell, SC, Carol Rhame (Lloyd) of Dalzell, SC and Lori Nobles (David) of Hillsborough, NC; fourteen grandchildren, Michael ( Stephanie )Carraway, Christina (Corey) Baker, Melissa Salazar, Casey Bryan, Candice Carraway, Kaitlyn Carraway, D.J. Carraway, Jimmy (Savanah) Davis, Derrick (Valerie ) Nobles, Paula ( Dan) Austin, Rusti ( Haleigh) Brock, Eden Carraway, Daren ( Jenna) Avins, Jr. and Dylan Avins; twenty-seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Tommy Osborne, Claudie Osborne, Dennis Osborne, Hugh Allen Osborne, Charlie Osborne and Roy Osborne; four sisters, Elsie Speer, Linnie “Totsie” Bryant, Daisy Polson, and Lois Osborne and one great grandchild, Christian Nicole Bryan.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating.  Interment will follow in the Olive Grove Church Cemetery, located at 1280 Olive Grove Road, Turbeville, SC 29162.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons; Michael Carraway, Jimmy Davis, Derrick Nobles, D.J. Carraway, Daren Avins and Dylan Avins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the home of Butch and Cheryl Carraway and on Friday, September 29, 2023, one hour prior to the service from 1:00 -2:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
