Sumter, SC …. Phyllis Bernice Jacobson Keeler, age 84, beloved wife of 49 years to Harold Frederick Keeler, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland.
Born in Northwood, ND, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jacobson and Tena Wasness Jacobson. Phyllis graduated from Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, ND. She served her church, First Assembly of God, for over 30 years as the church secretary. Phyllis was very strong in her faith and had a servant’s heart. She held a weekly women’s prayer group at the church and served in many other capacities. Phyllis enjoyed both reading and crocheting, but her true joy in life came from spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Survivng in addition to her husband are a son, Greg Nygord of Oakes, ND; two daughters, Cindy Sargent and her husband Craig of Summerton, SC, and Teresa Donica and her husband Jim of Witchita Falls, TX; four grandchildren, Christopher, Cameron, Kristi, and Jessica; four great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 12:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Banar and Rev. Phil Simun officiating.
The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 – 12:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Bullock Funeral Home.
