Rachel Evans Obituary
Sumter, SC…Rachel Paulette Evans, age 68, died on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Burrell Benenhaley and Mabel Amerson Benenhaley. Ms. Evans loved her daughter and granddaughter and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition, she enjoyed watching her television game shows. Ms. Evans loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and had attended Green Acres Assembly of God.
Surviving are her daughter, Kimberly Shawn Orr; one granddaughter, Breanna Orr; one sister, Rosa Collins; one brother, Tracy Benenhaley all of Sumter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Georgia Benenhaley and Helen McLeod.
A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny McLeod officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA, 1140 S. Guignard Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
