Rachelle Renee Jackson

Sumter, SC ….. Ms. Rachelle Renee Jackson was the daughter of Donna M. Grant and James Jackson Jr., and she was also the daughter of Kirk B. Jackson. She was born in Sumter, South Carolina on April 27, 1985, and entered eternal rest on October 1, 2021.

Rachelle was a 2003 graduate of Crestwood High School located in Sumter, South Carolina where she participated in the marching band. She was also a graduate of the Sumter County Career Center and licensed in Cosmetology. In addition, to earning her Cosmetology license, Rachelle also obtained several college credits.

Rachelle was the mother of three children, daughters, Raina Reasin Snead and the late Mackenzie Marie Jackson, and son, Ryan Austin Adams, all of Sumter, South Carolina.

Rachelle was a jack of many trades, but her first love was cooking for her family. A true daddy's girl, Rachelle especially enjoyed cooking meals for her Dad and her many family members.

In addition to her daughter, she was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Mary Brooks Grant Nash and Melvin Richardson Grant, and her paternal grandfather James Jackson Sr.

She is survived by her paternal grandmother, Marie Jackson; parents; children, Raina and Ryan; brother James R. Jackson; sisters, Sherika Mellette, Shawnetta Jackson Nelms (Irvin), Kayla Manuel (Donado), Kirtisha Jackson, and Shyeisha Belser. She is also survived by aunts, Patricia Brooks, Bernice Williams (Lee Sr.), Patricia Jackson, Karen Nelson (George), Kathy Sinkler (James), Debra Jackson (Gregory), and Aysha Griffith; uncles Michael Jackson (Yvonne), Raynard Jackson, Shaliek Grant, Jerome Jackson, Tyrone Jackson, Eric Jackson (Brazine), Terrence Jackson (Chelly), and Marvin Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Grant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 2:00-6:00 pm and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 am at Bullock Funeral Home.
