Richard Bruce Jackson

Sumter, SC…Richard Bruce Jackson, age 73, beloved husband of 48 years to Linda Sue Allen Jackson, died on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Reginald Jackson and Muriel Carlson Jackson.  Raised in Somers, CT, Rick joined the US Air Force in 1970 and retired in 1991 as a MSGT, after 21 years of service.  He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by two brothers, Robert Jackson (Janet), and William Jackson, both of Cincinnati, OH; a nephew, Alex Jackson (Angie) of Maineville, OH; two nieces, Lisa Marie Burke (Joe) of West Chester, OH, and Laura Gutzwiller (Joe); two great nephews, Carter Burke, and Jackson Gutzwiller, and six great nieces, Sydney Allen, Addyson Allen, Bailey Gutzwiller, Julianna Gutzwiller, Grace Jackson, and Claire Jackson.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Bullock Funeral.

The interment will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH with full military honors.
