Robert Ellington Lee

Dalzell, SC …. Robert Ellington “Robbie” Lee, age 58, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born in Manning, SC, he was the son of Jerry Lee and the late Virginia Jones Beorma and was raised by his stepfather, the late Gene Hooks, Sr.  Robert was an avid outdoorsman and he loved to go fishing, boating, and camping.  He worked in the construction industry and was a very accomplished carpenter.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Brandi Lee McElroy and her husband Jordan of Michigan; three brothers, Gene Hooks, Jr. and his companion Tracy Lowry of Wedgefield, Julius “Hootie” Lee of Sumter and Curtis Lee of Manning; three sisters, Sherry H. Yow and her husband Joe; Kelly Meyers and Ann Klee, all of Sumter; a grandson, Ban; two nephews, Mike and Caleb; two nieces, Jazz and Tiffany and his faithful adventure canine, Marco Lee.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is preceded in death by his beloved canine companion, Marci.
