Obituary
Bishopville, SC .... Sedwick Lavern “Vern” Hopkins, Jr., age 46, died on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey.
Born in Darlington County, he was the son of the late Sedwick Lavern Hopkins, Sr. and the late Janet Ann Boone Meyer. Vern was known as a very caring man who was always willing to help others. He loved his family and friends and will missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by a daughter, Ally Bailey of Bishopville, and two sisters, Darlene Henderson and her husband Benjamin of Sumter, and Denise Meyer and her fiancée Brandon of Lugoff.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step father, Stanley Meyer, and grandparents, J.B Boone and Annie Mae Boone.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Piedmont Cemetery in Bishopville.
