Sharon Elizabeth Dyer

Sumter, SC …. Sharon Elizabeth Dyer, age 67, died on Monday, October 3, 2022, at her residence.

Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late William Lockhart and Jean Catherine Drysdale Lockhart.  She was affectionately known as Bamaw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and had a passion for reading.  Bamaw was a loving and affectionate mother, grandmother, and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving to cherish her memory are; her son, Chris Dyer and his wife Amanda of Satsuma, AL; two daughters, Misty Drake and her husband Steven of Sumter, and Crissi Estep and her husband Fred of Hartsville, SC; four sisters, Yvonne Barnes of Mesa, AZ, Donna Lockhart of Mesa, AZ, Mary Leight and her husband John of Livonia, MI, and Debra Blythe and her husband, David of Palm Harbor, FL; fourteen grandchildren, Bram, Mallory, Colin, Miranda, Angelica, Alec, Rebekah, Alexis, Gretchen, Megan, Raegen, Hannah, Will, and Ben, and five great grandchildren, Brayden, Micah, Emilia, Kade, and Elaina.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Zach Grooms, and her brother, Larry Lockhart.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home followed by a reception at the home of her daughter, Misty and Steven Drake.
