Tanya Renee Perkins Cornell

Sumter, SC………….. Tanya Renee Perkins Cornell, age 57, beloved wife of 36 years to Patrick Daniel Cornell, died on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Mrs. Cornell was born in Texarkana, TX, a daughter of the late Jimmy Perkins and Marolyn Smith Waters. She attended Jefferson High School, Texarkana High School, and training at Ft. McLellan, AL. She served as a military police officer at Ft. Hood. Tanya will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and warrior of her faith.

Surviving in addition to her husband are One son, Max Aaron Cornell of Sumter, SC; Two daughters, Sarah Frances Cornell and Sydney Nicole Cornell, both of Sumter; One brother, Kevin Perkins of Irving, TX; and Two grandchildren, Sheldon Walker Seruya and Lorelei Livingston Cornell.

She is at home in heaven with her mother and grandmother and is loved.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, September 15th, 2023 at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at 1:00pm.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Thursday, September 14th, 2023 at Bullock Funeral Home.
