Tyronne Metz

Sumter, SC …….. Tyronne Metz, age 68, beloved husband of 29 years to Geraldine Basa Metz, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of the late Raymond Metz and Jeralyn Morris Metz.  Tyronne served his country proudly as a member of the United

Stated Air Force, retiring after over 27 years as a SMSGT.  He then went to work for the United States Postal Service retiring after 19 years.  Tyronne was a very hard worker and great provider for his family.  He will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Tyronne is survived by his wife, Geraldine; two sons, Tony Metz and his wife Missey of MN and Donzell Metz and his significant other, Diana Kelly and her daughter, Sarah of Sumter; a daughter, Jamaica Joy Bryant and her husband Andrew Jeffrey, Jr. of Sumter; four brothers, Ray Anthony Metz and his wife Virgie of Tacoma, WA, Terry Lynn Metz, Kevin Roman Metz and Kelvin Raymond Metz, all of New Orleans, LA; one sister, Mary Margaret Metz of New Orleans, LA and four grandchildren, Tyrell Ks Metz, Andrew Jeffrey Bryant III, Carter Malik Bryant and Hugh Mason Bryant.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Benjamin Metz.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 11:00-12:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
