Betty June (Arnold) Champy

Dalzell, SC…Betty June Arnold Champy, age 74, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Prisma Health Tuomey in Sumter, SC.

A funeral service will be held at Dalzell Baptist Church, Dalzell, SC on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 10:00 am with the Reverend Mark Barnette officiating. She will be buried in Cameron Memorial Cemetery in Cameron, SC. Visitation will be held at Bullock Funeral Home on Sunday, February 17. 2019 from 4:00-6:00 pm.

June was born in Valdosta, GA to James F. and Cathryn D. Arnold on July 17, 1944. She went to Madison High School, was in the Beta Club, and graduated in 1962. She worked as an Office Representative for State Farm for thirty-eight years, employed by the late Charlie Moore and Bill Denny. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an active member of Dalzell Baptist Church, Dalzell, SC.

June is survived by her husband, Harry Doyle Champy, Jr. of Dalzell, SC; her two sons, Harry Doyle Champy III and his wife Connie of Gainesville, GA, and Timothy Ron Champy and his wife Dede of Statesville, NC, and three grandchildren, Rebekah Champy, Noah Champy, and Brandon Champy; and a sister, Geraldine Killingsworth of Madison, FL, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Cathryn D. Arnold of Pinetta, FL, three sisters, Frances A. Wade, Joyce Keene, and twin sister, Gloria Jean Hart, and a brother, Jimmie Arnold.
