Dorothy Copple Todd

Sumter, SC…Dorothy Copple Todd, age 78, beloved wife of fifty nine years to Edward Eugene Todd III, died on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at MUSC of Charleston.

Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Livey and Dorothy Blackwood Copple. Mrs. Todd was an assistant kindergarten teacher for over thirty years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Junior Welfare League, Sumter Art Association and served on the Friends of Swan Lake Board of Directors. She was a member of The Church of the Holy Comforter, where she served in the Alter Guild. Mrs. Todd had currently been attending The Church of the Holy Cross.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael Davis Todd of Sumter and Stephen Lear Todd and his wife Katherine of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Davis and Katie Todd; and one brother, Carl Copple.

A private service will be held.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the residence.
