Richard Roarick Obituary
Sumter, SC…Richard Dean Roarick, age 79, beloved husband of 51 years to Mary L. Roarick, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at McLeod Health Clarendon.
Born in Decatur, Illinois, he was the son of the late Henry W. and Alberta Melhorn Roarick. Mr. Roarick served his country in the United States Army and retired after many years of dedicated service. While in the Army, he was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. He was avid bowler and enjoyed his spending time with his league. He will be forever in Mary’s heart and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by his daughter, Deborah Ann Roarick Hollaway; and two grandchildren, Andrew Hollaway and Benjamin Hollaway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard Dean Grandon; sister, Roberta Roarick Helgamo; and brother, Henry W. Roarick.
