Alan Daniel Roberts

Alan Daniel Roberts, 76, passed away on August 30, 2026, at Lexington Health Hospital after an all too brief, but tenacious battle with cancer.

The son of Shannon Roberts and Grace Kachur Boschen, Alan was born May 2, 1950, in Newark, but resided for most of his life in Long Hill Township, NJ, until relocating to Lexington, SC, where he fully enjoyed the last 10 years of his life.

After retiring as AT&T Chief Video Engineer, Alan applied his unique electronics skills as a consulting media systems integrator for several major corporations in the New York City area.  He spent his last years as a master tinkerer, restoring vintage radios and anniversary clocks, as well as refurbishing non-vintage drones.

Although a man of few words, Alan’s friends will long remember him for his wicked sense of humor and dry wit.

He is survived by his wife, Pat A Mallon.

At Alan’s request, a small private memorial service will be held for his immediate family.
