Angela Cockerill Obituary

Manning, SC …. Angela Pauline Coulter Cockerill, Age 57, died on Monday, May 5, 2025, at MUSC Charleston.

Born in Sumter, SC, she was a daughter of the late James H. Coulter, Sr. and the late Mildred Pauline Cheshire Katzenberger. Although Angie could be stubborn and strong-willed, she was very loving and cared deeply for others.  She was the former owner of Angie’s Chair and worked for JC Penny, Regis Hair Salon and LA Nails.  Angie loved life and will be remembered as a very loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by two sons, Shaughn Dupree Cockerill and his wife Jessica of Greenville, SC and Joe Edward Cockerill and companion Faryn Corbett of Sumter, SC; one daughter, Madison Alexis McCoy and companion Zack Hein; one brother, James “Jimbo” Coulter; seven grandchildren, Kaydence Geddings, Adeline Cockerill,  Raegan Lynn Cockerill, Jayden Sumner, Faith Sumner, Makayla Sumner, and Jack Secor, and her best friend Celina Ard.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne McElveen officiating. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 5:00-6:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
