Angela Elaine (Blakley) Thigpen

Sumter, SC…………………. Angela Elaine Blakley Thigpen, age 48, beloved wife of 5 years to Troy Weston Thigpen, died on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

Mrs. Thigpen was born in Sumter, SC, a daughter of James Dudley Blakley, Sr. and Catherine Galloway Blakley. Angela was the most memorable person you could ever meet and was a loving wife, mother, and daughter. Angela loved as intensely as she fought. She was a survivor who will be loved and remembered by many.

Surviving in addition to her husband are: Three daughters, Kayla Huhs, Anna Huhs, and Skyler Saxon and her husband Jack, all of Manning, SC; Two stepsons, Greyson Thigpen of Florence, SC and Cody Thigpen of Turbeville, SC; and four grandchildren, Kyleigh, Lakelynn, Lila, and Adalynn.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James D. Blakley, Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, from 12:00-2:00pm at the family home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, National Headquarters, 6520 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33309-2132.
