Barbara Ann (Russell) Campbell

Sumter, SC …… Barbara Ann Russell Campbell, age 88, beloved wife of the late Wallace Lauren Campbell, died on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at her residence.

Born in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Jack Russell and Minnie Lee Wallace Russell. Barbara, lovingly known as B.C., was an avid gardener, she was a hard worker and was known to be very generous and giving to others. She loved to take children to Church so that they could learn about Jesus. She was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, choir member and AWANA leader. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are; one son, Alton “Danny” Hice and his wife Mary of Sumter; Martha Kelly, whom Barbara thought of as a daughter; two grandchildren, Curtis Hice and his wife Mandy and Jason Hice and his wife Abigail and five great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cheyenne, Lucas, Adalynn and Andrew Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; two brothers, Scott Russell and Jack Russell and three sisters, Marion Bryant, Margaret Craig and Miriam Baumeister.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 11:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Lee Pack officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 10:00 -11:00 am at Bullock Funeral Home.
