Barbara "Bobbie" (Gordon) Robinson

Sumter, SC …… Barbara “Bobbie” Gordon Robinson, age 73, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at her residence.

Born in Sumter, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Truesdale Gordon and Evelyn Mathis Gordon.  Bobbie worked for EMS Chemi for over 23 years and then worked for and retired from Crosswell Home for Children in Sumter for many years.  Bobbie's favorite hobby was doing cross stitching, but her true joy in life came from spending time with her daughter and granddaughter.  She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

She is survived by a daughter, Kelly Robinson Dodson and her husband, Ron Jr. of Sumter; a brother, David L. Gordon of Del Rio, TN; the apple of her eye, a granddaughter, Lauren Bryce Dodson and her faithful canine companion, Baxter.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

A private family burial be held in the Sumter Cemetery.
