Sumter, SC…. Bobby Gene Warner, age 91, beloved husband of eight years to Agnes Smith Warner, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Bobby was born in Bessmay, Texas, a son of the late George Warner and the late Mae Warner. He served honorably in the Air Force for more than 20 years and retired in 1978. He was known for his artistic ability and his short story writing. He loved and cared deeply for his family and will be remembered for having a great sense of humor. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Susan Warner Shaw and her husband, Paul, and Karen Lynn Warner; his sons, Allen Douglas Warner and Tammy, and Robert David Warner and his wife, Ginny; his step-daughters, Vicky Niccum and Rachel Niccum; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his former wife, Betty Wood Warner.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.
