Sumter, SC....Brenda Joyce Offill (nee Polston) was called to God's Heavenly Home on Tuesday 07/30/2024 at the age of 72 after suffering multiple health issues.
During her lifetime, Brenda served as an Evangelist with the Church of God, ran a food ministry, worked as a cosmetologist and in nursing. But, her life was devoted to her husband of 55 years, Melvin Eugene Offill - known as Gene and her 6 children. Sons Michael (Angie) and Shannon (Amy) Offill and Jeffery Polston. Daughters Doretta Fernandez (Juan), Julie Offill-Colegate (Steve) and Amy Uribe.
Brenda was a woman who strongly believed in prayer, put the needs of others before her own and loved playing jokes and pulling pranks like sending people "Snipe Hunting".
She was a fun Grandma to her 24 grandchildren - Kanelia, Kenneth and Amanda Steele; Ethan and Sawyer Polston; Adrian, Zacharias, Jake, Maleena, Landen, Eden, Taylor, Julie Ann, Sara, Anthony, Jacob, Kaitlyn and Braiden Offill; Lila, Steven and Blake Uribe; Gracie Colegate; and Tyler and Kayley Braun.
And also to her 20 great-grandchildren -Kaia and Sean Johnson; Mason, Karder, Joel, Jacelyn, Jayvier, Jordan and Jaiden Steele; Rhys and Orion Schmitt; Alice, Ariana, Parksley, Eli, Ivory, Clayton and Amanda Offill; Israel Vaske and Hannah Norris.
Four of Brenda's brothers have preceded her in death Ricky, Jackie, Jeff and Kenzil Polston and one grandson Kenneth Steele.
Brenda will be remembered for her love of family, her strong faith in God and her sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held on August 3, 2024, at 4:00 pm in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.
