Sumter, SC…. Caren Ellen Nemeth, age 75, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at her home.
Caren was born in Pennsauken, New Jersey, to the late Mazie Cramer. She loved animals and worked as a veterinarian for over 20 years. She especially loved horses and raising Rottweilers and Pomeranians. She also enjoyed cars and was a member of the Corvette Club in Florida before relocating to South Carolina. Her greatest love was her family. She will be remembered as a loving sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sisters, Jill Moore and Renee Barren, both of Jacksonville, Florida, her grandson, William Randall Putt, and his wife, Madonna Jean Salas of Sumter, and her great grandchildren; Ian Salas-Putt and Bella Salas-Putt.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ian Dixon.
A memorial service will be held at Bullock Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 3:00 pm.
